Her research has concentrated on gender and Internet governance, and she has been engaged in feminist advocacy in the civil society constituencies of Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS), and the Internet Governance Forum (IGF).

Jac sm Kee is the women’s rights advocacy coordinator of the Association of Progressive Communications. She leads a five-country research project on sexuality and the Internet (EROTICS) and the Take Back the Tech! global campaign.

Rebecca MacKinnon is a Bernard L. Schwartz Senior Fellow at the New America Foundation. She is cofounder of Global Voices Online, an international citizen media network, and a founding member of the Global Network Initiative, a multistakeholder initiative for the protection of free expression and privacy in the ICT sector.

Milton L. Mueller

Milton L. Mueller is a professor at Syracuse University’s School of Information Studies. He is a founder of the Internet Governance Project and has been active in the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) civil society, and the Internet Governance Forum. He is the author of Networks and States: The Global Politics of Internet Governance.

Pirongrong Ramasoota is the deputy dean of graduate studies at the Faculty of Communication Arts, Chulalongkorn University in Thailand. She is cofounder and director of the Thai Media Policy Center (Thai-MPC), a research/advocacy unit that investigates and advocates on issues related to media policy and regulation in Thailand and overseas.

Rafal Rohozinski

Rafal Rohozinski is the CEO of the SecDev Group and Psiphon Inc. He is a founder and principal investigator of the OpenNet Initiative and Information Warfare Monitor projects.

Vee Vian Thien

Vee Vian Thien is a researcher at the Berkman Center for Internet and Society at Harvard University. Her LLM long paper for Harvard Law School in 2010 focused on the Malaysian blogosphere, and she researches Internet regulation in the Southeast Asian region.

Gayathry Venkiteswaran

Gayathry Venkiteswaran is executive director of the Southeast Asian Press Alliance, a network representing media freedom groups from four countries in the region. Previously she was director of the Centre for Independent Journalism, Malaysia. She has worked as a journalist and has also taught journalism and media history in private colleges.

Nart Villeneuve

Nart Villeneuve is a researcher who focuses on malware, botnets, and the cybercriminal underground. His technical research led to the discovery of two cyber-espionage networks: GhostNet, which compromised diplomatic missions around the world, and ShadowNet, which extracted secret information from the Indian government.

Jonathan Zittrain

Jonathan Zittrain is a professor of Law at Harvard Law School, where he cofounded its Berkman Center for Internet and Society, and a professor of Computer Science at Harvard University’s School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Ethan Zuckerman is a senior researcher at the Berkman Center for Internet and Society at Harvard University where his research focuses on the digital public sphere. He is cofounder of international citizen media aggregator Global Voices.
